The Eye Of Minds, By James Dashner
“The Eye of Minds” By James Dashner is an action-packed, complex novel. I have rated it a 10 out of 10 for multiple reasons. This story is unlike any I have ever read. It is totally original and gives the reader a taste of adventure, action, and some romance. James Dashner has made all the main characters dynamic and relatable characters as the story progresses. The conflicts in the story help make you want to flip the page and never put the book down. James Dashner wrote an unbelievable and intricate plot that has so many twists it keeps you on the edge of your seat. Also James Dashner uses superb descriptive language for describing the setting and objects, which makes the reader feel like they are a part of the story. James Dashner has definitely written a New York Times #1 best seller worthy book …show more content…
He develops the story to be so complicated yet easy to understand for the reader. Between Michael getting jumped and kidnapped on the street by the “good guys”, Virtnet security agents, to suicides in the virtnet which carry over into real life, this plot never has any “boring” moments. There is always something happening. Michael, Sarah, and Bryson try to carry out their mission, but along the way of course they get trapped in corners and so close to figuring out the mystery. They have to go through an actual maze of puzzles that Kaine put in place to protect the Mortality Doctrine. Throughout the book, they jump into different video games where it they engage in combat and action. Also, along with the plot, Dashner uses some amazing detailed word choice which adds to the story. In the story Michael thought, “Helga made some mean waffles and topped them with all the things that make a person fat-butter, whipped cream, syrup. Shew threw in a few strawberries to lessen the guilt factor.” Dashner explains even the smallest of details of not super important objects, but it makes the story more

Aws Aldajan What DuBois means by the concept of “Double Consciousness” is that people sometimes want to feel they belong to something so they look at themselves through the eyes of others and from others perspective. In the text that we read, he is referring to the life of the African American people especially during the times of slavery when the black people were waiting for Emancipation as William described it.
