The Feudal System
The Feudal system was based on control of the people through fear and ignorance. The Feudal system lasted for approximately 800+ years, all over Europe. The system was divided mainly into two parts. "Mind," and "Body." The way that the social classes were divided include the following; 2% Royalty, (Kings, Queens, Dukes, Duchesses, etc.) 2% Church, (Cardinals, Popes etc.) 4% Merchants, and 92% Serfs (Peasants). One way that the Feudal system worked includes the use of "Mind" control, as in limiting the amount of information being given. Most of the time, the Churches would be the ones to enforce this limitation. The way that the Churches would do this would be them saying something is an "Act of God" or some other similar statement. would be, 'The reason that the King is the King, is because God said so. ' Another way that the Feudal system worked would include physically controlling the environment around the Serfs/Peasants.
This is where the Monarchy comes into play. The King/Head of a kingdom has the ability to physically control the amount of food and water that his/her subjects receives. It also helps that the King/Head of said kingdom has military forces that will do whatever the King/Head says, and will do so by any means necessary. One more way that the Feudal system worked includes the use of torture. If one person starts having their own opinion about something, the King/Head would have that person tortured so that everybody else could see what happens when the King/Head doesn't get their way. Some forms of torture include the following; Being hacked, being sliced, thumb screws, etc. The Feudal system worked for the most part, but it was definitely a cruel time to be in. As mentioned before, the Churches were the ones in control of the information being supplied. The Churches back during that time were Catholic Churches. That was the only acceptable religion in Europe at the time. The reason that the feudal system isn't around anymore is because people realized that there was something better than being ruled by a Blue Blood, (Royalty) not to mention, a crazy one. Hopefully, there will never be a time when the Feudal system comes back to
