This is one of the unconditional covenants because God does not make any conditions for David to have to follow. As the information from this covenant it was acquired through the prophet of the Lord, a man named Nathan. The first part of this covenant involves the Promise Land mentioned in the previous three covenants. This is once again is a reestablishment of who this land will belong to and how they will be protected. It goes into more detail once again of who the wicked are and how God will keep the pure safe from them. Secondly, much like the Abrahamic Covenant God promised David that he would have many children and that his lineage would never end. He sealed this covenant by directing David’s son (Solomon) to construct the Lord a temple, which was later named after the builder itself. Slowly, this grew to the point of where one of David’s offspring would also build a place for the Lord, but on a much bigger scale. Instead it would be an entire kingdom one that would last forever under the ruling of David’s child. Evidently, God was referring to Jesus the final saviour who would come down from Heaven and redeem all
