The Forest
We were walking through the forest; we had just got out from school. I was taking a look behind me and see Sarah running trying to keep up with my pace. “Slow down, I can’t keep up with your pace” she said breathing heavy from running so much. I rolled my eyes at my dramatic friend; she glared when she saw me roll my eyes at her. I turned around and continued walking at a slightly slower pace. “It's not like anything bad is going to happen” I pointed out. It's like she thought Big Foot or Slenderman was going to jump out at us at any given moment and attack. “You never know what kind of monsters or weirdoes are out and about”, she yelled back. I turn around and see that she has collapsed on a rock. I start walking towards her and sit on a rock near by. I guess will just sit around here for today. “The worst there could possibly be is a small bear” I retorted while dusting the rock of and taking a seat. We ended up staying there for awhile talking about anything and everything. Sarah was in the middle of telling me about how she failed her math finale when I glanced up at the sky. “The suns starting to set, we should start heading home, I still have homework to do” I said standing up and dusting of my pants, Sarah stood up to and began walking back down the hill the way we came. “I couldn’t agree more, this place is already creepy enough in the daylight. I don’t want to be around during the night” She said, has she was stepping over a big rock and nearly tripping. “Its practically pitch black outside now” I heard Sarah whispering from behind me she probably thought something was going to hear us and come eat us. But looking around I noticed she was right. I could barely see where I was walking at this point. Reaching down to my pocket to get my cell phone I don’t feel it; must have left it at home this morning. “Do you have your phone” I asked looking around for Sarah barely able to see where she was now. She nodded her head reaching

A few seconds of silence passed. The next thing she said came out as almost a whisper, so quiet that I almost didn’t hear it. “She probably doesn’t even want to see me again,” she quietly scoffed, rolling her eyes. I just stayed where I was, silently protesting her stubbornness. She slumped, and sat back down in the plastic chair behind her.…

Fuck, it’s dark in here with very little space. I have been shuffling these red and black thoughts around like a Rubik’s Cube of blood and darkness. There is only one white piece that seems to create some space. When I try occupying it, black and red forms ooze in filling it, forming a purple sludge that eventually separates back into red, and black. I am so tired and the darkness suppresses me.…
