October
Year after year I look forward to this time. Its October again, a sudden burst of happiness and stimulation begins to creep up in the heart which appears evidently on my face, out of nowhere it struck! As the fresh cool, crisp air comes into existence- everywhere, the leaves on the trees appears to be touchable as it changes its color. The electrifying shades of: golden orange, burnt red, bright yellow and brown drifts and twirls around, surrounding the turf on the front of the house and on the streets.
Thankfully the dreaded heat has decided to take its course I mutter silently to myself. The warm breeze fades away as it circulates a refreshing draft of air against the skin of my cheeks, a picture of peacefulness and serenity slips into the thoughts of mines, as I escape into a remarkable adventure.
Eyes are the windows of the soul which captures the very moment of its surroundings.
Grasping every bit of what Mother Nature has to offer, the mind pays close attention to what it does to mother's maple tree in the back yard. As the branches, begins to sway in the cool chill breeze, the leaves begins to fall. Growing up as a child father would allow us to dive into the pile of leaves, that he gathered. Our fingers shrivel as we played for hours and hours in the ice-cold air. The smell of hot cocoa streamed through our nostrils as that would end our play. Oh! How I love this time of the year. Taken back to childhood memories, I reminisce on the aroma of warm cinnamon pumpkin spice tea and apple berry pie that mother always used to make. This moment forms goose bumps against the skin.
The days and nights begin to feel supernatural and gloomy, which puts me into a pleasant mood. Trees bare their leaves, birds migrate south and the nights are cool. Sound of a rustic chime that hangs right above the neighbors’ front door takes its center stage and begins to form an orchestra with the wind.
Slowly but surely, the days

Intuitively, many people understand nature's role in human health. Whether it is walking on the beach, swimming in the ocean, or hiking in the mountains, interaction with nature seems to have a positive effect on humans. The sounds, smells, and sights of the outdoors appear to have an amazing stress-reducing capacity. Research backs up this folk wisdom, showing that spending time with nature can decrease feelings of depression, increase self-esteem, decrease tense feelings, help us to be more caring, less aggressive and violent, be less likely to procrastinate, and better able to work through…

The dull, murky water of Lake Windermere was surrounded by the happiness and laughter of the anticipating audience. Children spontaneously danced round the hypnotising bonfire, only to be outshone by the dazzling fireworks as they spiralled into the pitch black sky. Fragrant delicious smells filtered through the air as food was prepared. Bright lights and heckles from the games stalls lured the children in like a lion to its prey. I wonder who lived here the year before me, I hear the sky calling me, I see the footsteps below, I want to walk and be free, I am just a leaf, hanging high in the tree, I pretend that I am something that lives on the ground, I feel a touch of branches throughout, I touch a flower that grows close to me, I worry about me growing fast, I cry when I see the stars falling from the sky, I am just a leaf, hanging high in the tree, I understand moments in time, I say tomorrow is another day, I dream about stars deep in sky, I try to do my best in every way, I hope my dreams come true, even though I am just a leaf, hanging high in the tree.
