The Ge Ez Fidel Or Script

The Ge’ez Fidel or script is the only native African writing systems still in use in the world today. At Fidel Creations we believe this is a cause for celebration. That pure love for everything Fidel gave birth to Fidel Creations - a design studio and a product line with the Ethiopic Ge’ez script or Fidel as it’s called, and Ethiopic motifs front and center in its design philosophy. Our goal is to layer in this beautiful script into your visual landscape interpreted into various products.

Introducing language, scripts and culturally relevant concepts at an early age is what we want to help you do especially if multiple languages are spoken at home. Our product line includes bright, happy and beautifully illustrated concept board books covering
topics kids love and are familiar with, such as farm and wild animals, numbers, and colors.

Staying true to our philosophy of integrating Fidel into you visual landscape, we have also designed a line of home décor and lifestyle products weaving in the Fidel script into all things and marrying with modern, chic design aesthetics. Our line includes beautifully designed nursery essentials highlighting the beauty of the Fidel script with gorgeous baby and parent friendly patterns interpreted into prints, posters, bibs and bedding. We believe these are powerful mediums for nurturing love of language, love of culture and love of self.

Fidel Creations was started by a mom, who, was looking for a way to integrate her culture and heritage, into her daughter’s life in a fun, meaningful, and engaging ways. As a mom she knows how hard it is to find attention grabbing, engaging and cultural relevant products for kids. Seeking to fill this gap for culturally appropriate products on the market, designed with the same aesthetic and quality standard as mainstream books and products, Fidel Creation was launched. We produce fun, bright, beautifully designed everyday items featuring the Fidel script in all of our products.
