The movie of “The Goblet of Fire,” have some scenes that have been cut because the books contain around eight hundred pages. When I first watched the movie, I read that the producers were debating if they should have divided the movie into two parts due the book length. For this reason, a lot of print text was deleted in the movie; while other scenes were added to give the audience a deeper view of some scenes. One clear example that the movie was changed, is the scene when McGonagall teaches students how to dance before the Yule Ball Dance. The professor mentions that it’s a tradition and she expects all students to perform well on that night. Professor McGonagall asked Ron Wesley to dance with her, and if you are a follower of Harry Potter book’s or movies you might know that Ron Wesley does not dance. Here we can watch how Voldemort and Potter wands connect by a light. Harry parents appear to help Harry escape; however, in the book not only Harry parents appear but also Bertha Jorkins (a witch who worked at the Ministry). Bertha character has no appearance at all in the movie and people who have not read the book might never know who is she and what she did. Moreover, the book explains why the wands were connected. Dumbledore’s says that the wands have a feather of a phoenix, so when the two wands are confronted in battle, the wands take a reverse spell that does not allow them to work
