The Great Depression In John Steinbeck's Of Mice And Men

The Great Depression was a time where multiple people lost their jobs and their money in a matter of days. During the beginning of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck,George stated that most unemployed people were “the loneliest guys in the world.”(Steinbeck,13). This quote demonstrates that people usually didn't have anyone by their side and were often left by other people and they had to work for themselves and try to save themselves.
