The Great Gatsby Comparison

In many times, directors chose to translate a novel to movie; some of great novels are already a great story for the film. One of the famous novel in last century about the fall of American Dream was The Great Gatsby. And as other novels, hollywood had produced two recently translated movies. The older version was directed by Jack Clayton on 1974 and the newer version by Baz Luhrmann on 2013. Though they had produced with a gap of 39 years, both were able to compared each other and with novel. Baz Luhrmann directed the movie with more focus on the concept of American Dream, and Jack Clayton was more focused on the conflicts between characters. There was many bright scenes of Luhrmann’s compare to Clayton’s. When it came to party scenes, Luhrmann putted insane, unthinkable, marvelous effects that gave the joy of watching to the audience. And as well as the scenes of New York was also fascinating, it delivered the charming, progressive New York at that time to the audience. Compare to Luhrmann’s Clayton made the party scenes of scenes at New York to be more ordinarily, it was hard to get fascinated on Clayton’s film. And as Clayton gave more focus on conflicts, it

And at the end Luhrmann’s film ended Tom Buchanan when he left the East egg right after Gatsby died.
