Gatsby is willing to do almost anything to be close to Daisy so much so that Jordan explains, “Gatsby bought that house so that Daisy would be just across the bay”(chapter4). When Jordan tells Nick this, she soon tells him about Gatsby’s plan to get in touch with Daisy again at Nick’s house. Gatsby finally, after many years gets to pursue his own happiness once again by meeting Daisy once again. This shows that he did not give up on his dreams and goals to see Daisy no matter what it would take. Gatsby is nervous to meet her again but he does not give up on the idea that maybe she feels the same way and wants to see him as well. Quickly after meeting, the two of them connect well and everything seems to go just as Gatsby had hoped. His happiness is quickly being restored to what he had hoped it to be. It has reached this level because of the fact that Gatsby did not give up despite all of the factors against him.
