Damien, Mr and Mrs Camus’ butler, overheard them speaking in the grand dining room while dusting the gigantic house. He was quietly minding his own business when he overheard them say his name, he became intrigued so he hid behind the glass sliding doors to listen.
“I just don’t know. How will he react? He’s been so great for the past three years; he’s been so nice to Carly. I just don’t want to tell him,” exclaimed Mrs Camus.
“Alright, after Saturday’s family dinner tomorrow, I will tell him,” said Mr Camus.
At that point he had heard enough so he quietly left to continue his cleaning.

When he was only a few feet away, the person in a black suit pointed the gun at him. Carly ran to try and stop the bullet but it was too late. By the time she got there her father was on the ground. She dropped to her knees in pain.
“Ahhhhhhhhh!” Mrs Camus screamed which snapped Carly out her train of thought.
She slowly got up and started walking toward the gunman. She was shaking as she reached him, she grabbed the gunman around the neck but he quickly swung her off and she fell to the ground. Her mum covered her eyes, she was prepared for the worst.
BANG
The trigger had been pulled. Mrs Camus’ head made a thud on the concrete and blood splattered everywhere. Carly was sat against the wall sobbing her eyes out, after a while she looked up to see if the gunman was still there, but he was nowhere to be seen. Amongst all her sadness she was blustering with anger. At that moment in time she decided to avenge her parent’s death.

She looks around to see what was around as the night before she wasn’t paying any attention to her surroundings. The street had a footpath on one side of the road with trees lining it. Her mums body was outlined with yellow spray paint about a metre away from her dads. There were still blood splatters on the floor from both her mum and her dad. At the thought of that she started feeling queasy and decided that was enough for one night.
Carly woke suddenly in the early hours of the morning when she heard a bang. She sat up and screamed and started crying. Damien ran into her room.
“What’s wrong Carly?” Damien said worriedly while wrapping his arms around Carly.
“I……….. had a nightmare. About what happened to my parents, and how now I only have my grandma and I’m losing everyone I love and care about.”
“No you haven’t only got your grandma because I love you as well.”
“You do?”
“I have for a while; I just didn’t know how or when to tell you.”
Damien lent in,
