Collins wrote the Hunger games to embrace her father's impulse to educate young people about the realities of war. "If we wait too long, what kind of expectation can we have?" she asked. The change of going from first person in the book to third person in the movie difference them a lot, by showing emotion and intense action to less informing and more entertaining in the movie. Just remember “The purpose of information is not knowledge. It is being able to take the right action.” Meaning Collins wrote this novel to entertain young adults, but she didn't do it so they had knowledge, she did it so they will know the right and wrong when it comes to making the right
