Something that I noticed while watching the film was that a lot of the novel is cut off to make the film. An example would include when Haymitch vomits on the train and then slips and falls to the floor the author puts this in the novel by saying “...he vomits all over the expensive carpet and falls in the mess.”(47). Another example would be In the novel, before Katniss and Peeta board the train for the Capitol, Peeta's dad,the baker, brings Katniss a plate of cookies and informs her that he'll make sure Prim is eating. This makes Katniss wonder what his real intentions are. Finally something the novel is able to do that the film isn't is to allow the reader to set up his own image of district 12. I personally feel that it is better when you see a clear picture of how something looks but others really enjoy creating their
