In the thriller The Hunger Games by Gary Ross the tone, mood, lighting, sound and other factors influence how the viewer perceives the scene. The main characters Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Melark are unwilling selected as two of the twenty four tributes to compete in the battle to the death Hunger Games. Each year the Capital of Panem hosts the hunger games. A boy and girl from each of the twelve districts are recruited to fight in the arena until there is only one person left alive. Only one person can win providing entertainment and enforcing the country to not rebel. At this year’s reaping Primrose Everdeen, Katniss’s sister, was selected but Katniss volunteered in place of her to protect her.
