Growing up there were always children in and out of my household. Everytime I turn around my parents were always watching someone’s kid. I was never alone, there was always someone to play with, talk too, or even fight with. My parents loved helping raise and take care of children so the older I got the more it rubbed off on me. When I was old enough they gave me the responsibility to babysit my cousins and children of family friends. I grew up in a big family so there were always children around in need of a babysitter.
Throughout my teenage years I always felt that I was missing out on High School events, for instance; football games, dances, parades, etc. because I was always babysitting. The more my parents made me babysit, the more I realized I loved being around kids, they’re just adorable, sweet, and it’s just a great thing to watch them grow and learn. Watching other children over the years I’ve learned a great quantity on how to take care of them and I would love to continue on learning how to take care, love and help raise them. That’s why I want to major in nursing then make my way to be a pediatrician.

My family. They have always made huge impacts in my life and pushed me to be the best. My grandfather knows that I want and will be attending college and he is proud of me. He’s always talking to me about college and being encouraging and telling me how proud he is of me and I don’t want to let him down. My grandfather was the only one who attended a college. My grandfather went to NWACC and got his Technical certificate in Safety Management & Environmental science. I want to follow in that path but take it a step further. I want my younger cousins and family friends to look up to me and say they want to be a college graduate like
