The importance of being accountable, is not only for the military but also in the civilian side of the world. This is a very significant because like before it allows your superiors know that you are responsible and are able to be trusted in several tasks. It also shows that you take life seriously and it is vital to let your leadership know that you are healthy and not hurt. I say these things because it is the truth from waking up to traveling to work anything can happen. Things ranging from accidents to being stuck at the gate during a base lockdown. Anything can happen and letting your leadership know what is going on if you are late or traveling somewhere will help them keep track of you. It may even lead to being rewarded knowing they trust you and can count on you they may let you take the day off or even get off early. Depending on who it is they may ask you for a favor because you are driving there way they may ask to be picked up in the event they are unable to be on time. It’s a good way to build trust and comradery in the workplace, especially in the military. On the past Monday I was unable to relay the information that I had fallen asleep on my couch, due to the fact I was unaware I have. I did however let my leadership know that I have yet to fall asleep I let them know after being called that I will be at work in less than five minutes which I did.
