The Importance Of Defense In The United States

In this essay I will tell you why the United States spends so much on defense. I will explain three different reasons why the U.S.A spends so much on defense. The three topic why I chose why the U.S.A spends so much on defense were National Security, The Military, and the President. I will explain in each part that I choose why they spent so much on each one.
First thing is National Security. The government is always a wanting to protect our country and everyone in it. With all the terrorist groups today, our countries government is going to want to do everything that they can to protect the country from attacks. The terrorist groups today are growing in numbers every single day, and it is only getting worse. Every day as people are watching
Since the civil war the United States has been researching and testing on more ways so that the military can win the wars and the upcoming wars. That is why the military has such a high defense today. After the civil war the USA has created new weapons that they can go into battle with. Also they have made new ways they can fight the enemies. For example, during World War 1 the United States started digging trenches. Also World War 1 was the first war that introduced the tans, poison gas, and bolt action guns. The protection services for the president has more defense spending’s than any other branch in the military. They are their defense system has a higher security than the government does. The security for the president protection system spends so much because the president’s life depend on their security. Since the assassination of John F. Kennedy in 1963 the Secret Service Protection Agencies for the president has become stricter over the years after President Kennedy’s murder. Now when the president wants to go somewhere then the Secret Service must plan on how they are going to transport the president which takes time and money to do. But that is not the biggest cost of the protection of the president. The biggest cost of it all of the president protection is their limo, Army One, and Air Force One. The president’s limo has all advanced technology in it so that the president can keep the president safe. The limo is bullet proof. The tires on the limo has steel in them so that if the presidents convoy get ambushed and someone shoots out the tires on the lime, then the limo can keep going on a flat tire. Army One is the president’s helicopter that takes him from the White House to Air Force One. The helicopter can withstand an EMP (Electro Magnetic Pulse) and keep in the air.
