One would be the lack of knowledge from my experience I have learned to research more. Another could be different hardships such as divorce, separation from spouse, loss of job, decrease in wages, death and the list goes on and on. Also there are people who really do not care about losing a home it could be a norm for them to keep moving or they were not properly taught how to value a home. The next few years we were on yearly payment plans. For me it was very stressful and I even felt depressed because although we were on a payment plan it did not feel like we were getting ahead because while we were paying the delinquent taxes the current year would be added on. Although we had our hands full we stayed prayerful. We were introduced to the step forward program and was informed to talk to a housing counselor. Things began to turn around for my family we went and took our application to the counselor and was turned down because she stated we were not in a hardship so we had to figure out another plan. That took a toll on us but I come from a very religious family and I was reminded that the God I serve will never leave us or forsake us and he will not put no more on us then we can bare. In 2009 the delinquent taxes on our home was fifteen thousand dollars with and additional ten percent interest rate, but as of today we are down to three thousand dollars and the worry of losing our home is almost
