Schools must operate an inclusive practice, which means providing a learning environment that will not discriminate or treat any individual or a group of people badly based on a difference or negative stereotype. Being inclusive means providing every child or young person with the tools to learn and grow their self-confidence and develop their individual personalities.

detrimental effect on their progress and achievement.
Every person within the school should be aware of the expected inclusive practice and be fully aware of how to combat any behaviour outside this ethos and support children or young people who are victim to unacceptable behaviour. They should also seek to promote inclusion at all times, remembering every pupil is individual
with individual aspirations and goals.
There a number of words associated with discrimination which is as follows:
Equality: This means giving everyone opportunity to compete on equal terms, with no restriction placed in there opportunity due to their ethnicity, sexuality, gender, gender identity, race, culture, religion or belief, age or disability. In 2010 The Equality Act was became statute, meaning all the nine characteristics are protected by law and to permit discrimination under any of the protected characteristics would be a criminal offence. The Equality Act 2010 consolidated several pieces of older legislation that previously sort to combat discrimination bringing them under one umbrella.
Diversity: is the recognition of individuals or groups of people differences, and valuing these differences. You must learn to understand the needs of individuals or groups and endeavour to accommodate these needs within the school environment, understanding that all of these groups bring unique qualities that contribute to the school as a whole.
Inclusion: is ensuring all barriers to participation are removed and ensuring everyone can get involved in the activities offered by the school.
