Due to a Variety of causes, there have been many political, agricultural, social, economical and technological revolutions. They affect everyone involved and the lives of those who follow since the industrial revolution in the 19th century nothing has been the same. Industrialization is the process in which a society or country transforms itself from a primarily agricultural society into one based on the manufacturing of goods and services. The industrial revolution affected every walk of life, and was the main cause of urbanization, new social rolls and increased living standards. Due to industrialization, new social rolls had developed because not everyone needed to farm. In most cases, men started would work in factories and women would stay home and take care of their kids and house. In situations where women would have to work, they would be paid less for working the same amount of hours that a man would. For these reasons, it was particle for the women to stay home and soon enough became a social norm. In some cases, children of poorer families had to go to work, being robbed of their childhood. If you were in a wealthy family though, you were aloud to go to school. Going to school gives you more opportunity to get a higher paying job. Cities were really grimy and disgusting because nobody knew about sanitization yet. Trash and human waste rotted in the streets, and poor people were packed into tight buildings all together. You were forced to live next to factories and breath in polluted air all the time if you were lower class. Upper class and middle class people were able to live in neighborhoods outside of these said cities, and commute to go to work every day. Diseases spread fast in the cities, because of how closely
