For example on page 12 when Peter is waking Sarah up he seems happy and ready for the day. Where as Sarah is thinking about how she doesn’t want to be here and she wishes she was home. This shows that they think differently based on the situation that has happened. Peter I think is more positive and happy about being in indonesia and Sarah wishes she wasn’t in indonesia and looks at it as a negative thing. Another example is on page 43 when Sarah finds Peter pinned under the tree. Peter is still acting positive by asking politely if Sarah could take the tree off of him. Meanwhile Sarah is still thinking about the worst about the situation and that if they just hadn’t came here then this wouldn’t of happened. The last example is on page 82 when Sarah is trying to flag a boat down but she can’t. Sarah starts thinking of all the bad things that will happen if they stay on the island. While on page 80 it says that Peter went to sleep the second that he could. One could infer that Peter was tired and didn’t want to worry about all of the other things that were happening to them.
