Khan told Amir, “The Talibans said he was a liar and a thief like all Hazaras and ordered him to get his family out of the house by sundown. Hassan protested.” (Pg 230) It should be the greatest and final sacrifice that Hassan could do to help Amir. At that moment, Hassan lost his life and his wife also died. Even worse, their little son was sent to the orphanage. Actually, Hassan could move out because it was not his responsibility. Hassan should know that the Talibans were evil and they were cruel to everyone. In addition, Amir and Baba has moved to America for a long time and they would not come back. It is unnecessary for him to pay his life as price to protect their house. Hassan is always worried about Amir’s attitude towards him, he thought Amir didn’t like him as a friend, so he always wanted to do something to let him accept his friendship.
