This part of social status is easily observed in both novels. For example, in the kite runner when baba and Amir left for the United States. This shows, because of their social class, and wealth they were able to escape to a safe place unlike Assef and Hassan. Also in Persepolis, as the revolution sent her to France to make sure the she is safe. This was because of their social class which is also determined by wealth not to someone’s economic wealth and also determine how they live their lives and how they become who they are as they develop thought time. Not to mention in our own societies today and in our own personal lives as it becomes something that we think of every day. It has specially effected the characters in the novels in multiple ways that effected them later on in their lives. The characters environment and social status or class had a great social, economic, and personal effects that have shaped and changed their point of views, personalities and way of living. Not to mention that all of these factors can be explained by the psychological studies on the topic of social classes, which have proven things on how people become a specific class, how they act in their class, what are some common effects and attributes of this, and most importantly it has revealed the best and fastest ways to get out of a specific social class or status and elevate to a higher one in the best way possible. And so this proves the importance of the topic of social class in the novels (The kite runner and Persepolis). Even though it is not the main theme of the two novels it has proven to affect the themes by effecting their outcome.
