Gavin Hood's adaptation of Orson Scott Card’s Ender’s Game was an okay film it was neither great and neither was it bad. The movie does not include how the buggers communicate with each other, and battle school looks different from what I pictured it to be. The movie makes look the same and just move some things around. The way the movie shows the battle room is still pretty cool, because you can float around and do some awesome things while floating around. In the book the battle room would change the environment every time after a battle was finished. The battle room has these big led squares for cover. In the book ender did use the cover that had led lights on them, but he also used himself as camouflage,…

Watching the movie Indiana Jones The Raiders of the Lost Ark was great to feel like you're there. And you can tell there a relationship between Jones and Marion because they seem to have already met and have a past relationship and to pick up back where they left off and helping with that happening in the movie helped me find the theme of the movie i’m not gonna lie was very difficult but I found a couple of possible themes one theme I picked was action. Action because there was a lot of action in the movie with all the fighting, guns, fire, and jumping i thought that if they took out of that then the movie would be like ten to five minutes long. Another theme i thought was a possibility was mystery. Mystery because they go on hunts for treasure…

Mcmurphy breaking the picture window was a turning point in the story. The picture window was a prized possession of Nurse Ratched. It was the difference between her and the patients. She was on one side of the window while the patients were on the more unfortunate side. In a therapy session, R.P breaks the window, in the movie and in the novel, to get cigarettes. The glass breaking wasn't only a turning point in the story, but also for Mcmurphy. McMurphy became a larger than life character to the patients.…

The movie The Last of the Mohicans took place in 1757 during the French and Indian War. In the movie the main character Nathaniel Hawkeye and his adoptive father and brother save Major Duncan Heyward and the two daughters of Officer Edmund Munro who were set up by their guide Magua. While on their way to the fort where Munro is Hawkeye and the group found the home of a friend and member of the Colonial Militia destroyed with its occupants murdered. Once at the fort Munro was taken aback at the site of his daughters since he had sent a message telling them not to come. At the fort Hawkeye told the militia about the Cameron home, but a jealous Duncan told Munro that this was done by thieves and as a result the militia is not allowed to leave the fort. Despite Munro’s threats Hawkeye helps his friends leave. The following day he was arrested for sedition and sentenced to hang. At the same time the French General Montcalm generously offered a safe passage to Albany to all occupants of the fort if they surrendered and vowed to never fight in North America again. Reluctantly Munro accepted after Montcalm showed an intercepted message, showing that no aid is coming. Magua, the guide, was not happy with this plan, he revealed to General Montcalm that because of Munro his family was destroyed. As the British soldiers and their families were leaving the fort Magua and his men ambushed them yet again. This time Magua succeeded in killing Munro, but not before promising to kill Cora and Alice too. Hawkeye, Cora, Alice, and a few others fled in canoes across Lake George and down a river to a cave behind a waterfall, but Magua and his men followed. To protect Cora and Alice, Hawkeye urged them to surrender and promised he will find them. Magua took Duncan and the two sisters to a Huron village. As Magua was negotiating the…

In the film Night of the Living Dead there were many unimaginable, grotesque things that are taking place throughout the film. We know that people are afraid of two things, death and the unknown. Johnny began by badgering his sister, Barbara just like he did when they were children by saying “they’re coming to get you Barbara” while visiting their father’s gravesite. This shows that Barbara, even as an adult, she is afraid of the unknown. Unbeknownst to Johnny, Barbara was actually attacked by the unknown. Johnny jumps on “the thing” to protect his sister. This is the first sighting of a “thing”. The sighting of the thing connotes fear and death. Barbara runs off and finds safety in a house not far from the graveyard. Barbara meets Ben when he enters the house for safety as well. The house is another connotation of safety and warmth. Ben jumps right in to protection mode because Barbara appear to be in a state of shock due to the gory sighting of “the thing” and its attack on her brother.…
