The Little Rock Nine is a very important thng that helped lead to intergration. Intergration is the intermixing of people or groups previously segregated. The Little Rock Nine was a moment that marked history. A group of nine African American students enrolled in Little Rock Central High School in 1957. Their enrollment sparked The Little Rock Nine Crisis. The nine students were prevented from entering the racially segregated school by Orval Faubus, the
Governer of Arkansas.
The impact of intergration was jaw dropping. Equality was just around the corner and ife was starting to look better for African Americans. There were still a few white people that werent okay with the idea of mixed enviroments, but with the help of certain people the number of racist people slimmed down.
Without help from people like The Little Rock Nine, Martin Luther King Jr., and Rosa Parks our society would probably still be segregated. It’s hard to believe African American people were treated with such disrespect. In racially mixed schools they would be bullied by students, and even some teachers. These days you see interracial reletionships and friendships everyday. Segregation is becoming a thing of the past and everyone is equal.
