The Lorax Sparknotes
In the book “The Lorax” the main character Ted Wiggins lives in a town that is all fake and plastic. This plastic town is called Thneedville, Thneedville is based off of a period way back in time. Ted’s community that he lives in is very compact. The houses are the same the people are the same and nothing is real, including the grass. A girl who Ted really likes named Audrey, has a fascination of seeing a real tree. She doesn't care about the fake one all throughout the town, she wants to see “the real thing”. Ted knows nothing about trees or even a really tree at that. While they were eating dinner he brought up how he wanted to find a real tree and get Audrey to like him. His grandmother knew how the town got the name and where all the trees went. …show more content…
Ted being set on getting the tree for Audrey decides to go find him and get a tree and answers. As Ted loads up his bike he runs into a problem, how do you get out of the city wall? He attempted several times but finally jumped it. When ted got outside the wall it was dark and cold and very polluted. He rode for miles until he saw a cottage that had Once-ler on a wooden board.
