During the Great Depression, people of all classes were affected by it and had to find a way to survive off the little money they were given or had left before the Great Depression went into affect. The Great Depression was not only a problem in the United States, but was a problem in many countries and was a worldwide problem. Some causes of the Great Depression were the Stock Market Crash in 1929, Bank Failures, buying items on credit with the Installment Plan, and the Smoot-Hawley-Tariff.
