“The Most Dangerous Game,” by Richard Connell, contains multiple types of conflict, man vs. man, man vs. nature, and man vs. self. Firstly, conflict can be seen in the story in the form of man vs. man. According to the author on page 11, General Zaroff states “‘Tonight,’ said the general, ‘we will hunt-- you and I.’” This would indicate man vs. man conflict, as General Zaroff is informing the main character, Rainsford, that he will be hunted down by him.
