During the time prior to the revolution, the WWI war occurred. The Russians lost this war therefore reparations were demanded. Russia was in a great deal of debt after WWI leading to fuel and food shortages in homes of many of the poor families that had already lost their children in the war. The economical factor was the greatest influencer of the Russian revolution. Vladimir Lenin was the most influential figure at the time of the Russian revolution. Lenin proposed to the people that he had an idea to restore the government, and idea that he claimed would also cause the restoration of society, and thus economy. Communism. Power in the government was the solution to restore Russia back to a normal state. Tsar Nicholas II was overthrown in 1917 and Lenin was put into power.
Lenin restored the government, which caused a restoration in society. Lenin’s idea of communism created many jobs from the government that allowed many lower and middle class people to earn fair wages from. The idea of a fair country was ideal for the Russian people, as they have only experienced an unfair, Tsar ruled government. The Russian people, now having money to spend, increased the cash flow into the economy, thus solving the economical issues caused by the Tsar ruled government prior to the Russian revolution. Communism came to power because of the aristocratic unbalance that there was in society. The reason Russia failed is not because communism is correct, but because of the unbalance. Aristocratic landowners gave no money to the people who were working in poor working conditions, which led to the failure of the economy because it is only the working cash that keeps the economy going by adding cash into it. Once the poor cannot pay for their food, that causes famine and in turn, famine causes political, social and economic unbalance. Once Lenin came into power, he restored political power and almost completely eliminated the famine. The communist society that Lenin created was one where Lenin and his politicians controlled the entire industrial part of Russia. Therefore social imbalance was restored.
