Chapter 1. The Project

1.1 Introduction The Munoz United Methodist Church Learning Center (MUMCLC) was founded in 1949 as a non-denominational, non-profit, non stock learning institution. It is an education outreach program of the United Methodist Church in the Science City of Munoz geared towards the enhancement and development of children to make them well-rounded individuals. The Learning Center is dedicated to serve children in the nursery, kindergarten and elementary levels. It offers educational approaches and uses materials stimulating the intellectual, emotional, physical and social development of children. Modern learning devices such as computer-aided learning systems, multi-media resources and sports facilities are provided to equip pupils with up-to-date technologies.

The Munoz United Methodist Learning Center is located in a 1,500 square meter lot area at T. Delos Santos Street, Science City of Munoz, Nueva Ecija, Philippines. For school year 2012/2013, the MUMCLC has a total enrolment of 292 with 19 teaching and administrative staff. Total cash transaction during the school year 2011/2012 has reached a total of Php4.6 million.

The Munoz United Methodist Church Learning Center envisioned as a model Christian-based academic institution consecrated to develop the intellectual, social, physical, moral and spiritual aptitude of children in preparation for their chosen endeavours.

The Munoz United Methodist Church Learning Center shall endeavour a major role in the formation and development of well-rounded Christian pupils for global competiveness through affordable quality education.

Munoz Methodist Elementary School, a provincial school, has the capacity to maximize their profit and reach their potential capabilities in giving the city a quality education that the students may achieve. And one of this purpose why we want to help the school is because the school had experience of robbery of in their funds, so we want to help
