THE NOTEBOOK By Nicholas Sparks

The love story between two different teenagers that come from completely different worlds is the most remarkable. The Notebook is about two young teenagers who fell head over heels with each other. They got separated by Allie’s upper-class parents who insist that Noah isn’t right for her. But that obstacle didn’t stop these two young lovers from being together even if it took years. This beautiful tale has a special meaning to an older gentleman who regularly reads the timeless love story to his aging wife to help her remember what they went through and that the story that he’s reading to her was their love story. The story he reads follows two young lovers named Allie Hamilton and Noah Calhoun, Allie was 17. A city girl from money, and Noah was a country boy.

They met one evening at a carnival many years ago. The two spend the whole summer together but Allie is forced to move and go to college although she was willing to give it up for Noah. Allie's parents separate Noah and Allie. They disapprove of Noah's lack of wealth, and move Allie away. Noah writes Allie 365 letters and she never gets them. So he restores the house him and ALlie went to one night out of ‘labor of love'. After waiting for any sign (such as letters) from Noah from years, Allie meets Lon and becomes engaged. However, Allie still has feelings for Noah. Despite her commitment for Lon, Allie decides to visit Noah to see how he's doing after seeing Noah's picture in the paper, Allie is drawn back to him. They spent a few days together and she doesn't want to leave. Allie has to chose between her fiancé.The man she had already scheduled to marry, or Noah, the man who she subconsciously wants. Allie picks Noah, her one true love, and dumps Lon. Noah and Allie end up having a happy life and die together peacefully in the nursing home, side by side.

The reason I love this movie so much is because that main characters Noah and Allie go through so many trials and finally end up together in the end.     Has anyone ever felt like you were judged by the way you look and dress? The outsiders by S.E Hinton should be taught in school. This book should be taught in school because it is very much like real life today so it could teach kids what not to do. The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton is a story about a boy named Ponyboy and his friends who are constantly getting in trouble and being judged for being “greasers”. Ponyboy is an interesting character because he is different from his friends, but gets caught up in gang conflicts. There are many examples in The Outsiders showing Ponyboy to be loyal, brave and sensitive. The Outsiders, by S.E. Hinton was written in 1967. This novel tells the story of the conflict between two different social groups, the greasers and the socs. The socs were the socials who lived in the rich part of town, and the greasers were the lower class youths. They call them Greasers because they wear their hair long and a lot of grease in it. They are always getting picked up by the police for shoplifting, hijacking cars, pity theft, armed robbery and even MURDER!! They are always getting in trouble for something the Socs did like when Pony boy was at school. The Socs were doing something in the cafeteria and Pony boy got in trouble for doing it and he wasn’t even in the cafeteria. The Socs are a bunch of rich kids that have mustangs and corvettes with nice interior. This novel tackles issues such as violence, class conflict, and prejudice. The novel takes place in the early sixties. The Outsiders examines how two different groups compete, and unite for survival, which is often justified with violence. This one isn’t getting lost in the woods and having to make fire and kill fish and get water out of some spring. This is more like real life because things like this happen every day.…

    The Notebook is a movie in which the main character Allie has Alzheimer's disease. Alzheimer's disease is marked by forgetting and repeating things, getting lost and confused, difficulties recognizing persons and objects. Symptoms usually appear after age sixty. Alzheimer's disease is not a normal part of aging and the cause is yet unknown. Alzheimer's disease is the fourth leading cause of death among adults and at present there is no known cure. The story begins in a nursing home where Allie and Noah (Allie's husband) stay. Allie needs to be there for care, but Noah doesn't. He stays to help care for her. He reads to her from a notebook about their life together. He hopes this will help her remember him, because her disease has progressed so that she doesn't remember him or her children. Allie believes that Noah's name is Duke; he tells her that because of the confusion which Alzheimer's disease causes she believes that this is a story about another couple. Noah reads that he fell in love with Allie at first site, but her parents say he is not good enough for her. Her family leaves town, and she starts college and he goes off to war. He writes to her every day for a year, but her parents keep the letters. She gets engaged, he works on a plantation house and fixes it up the way Allie wanted it. He hopes she will come back to him. She sees his picture in the paper with the house and decides to go see him before she gets married. They find the are still in love. Allie is torn between here fiancé and Noah. Allie decides to stay with Noah. While Noah is reading the story, she says she thinks she's heard this story before. Noah talks to the doctor and says he reads to her sometimes and sometimes she remembers. The doctor tells him not to get his hopes us, and seems skeptical that she remembers anything at all.
