The first story I am going to talk about is the Sport Gene. The story begins with a college student named Thomas who is bet that he cant jump six foot six. Thomas successfully completes the bet and actually gets to seven feet! His buddy rushes him into the office where he meets the track coach and they begin training. It is about a music college in Germany. The people that are conducting the survey got all of the violinist in the school and split them into three groups. The first group were the stars the people who are probably going to play in a famous orchestra. The second group were the good students that had potential to play in a famous orchestra. The third group is the average group the people that were going to teach people hoe to play instruments. They asked all three groups of people the same questions. The first questions were ¨how old were you when you started playing your instrument?¨ All of the groups answered the same answer they started roughly at age five. They all practiced the same amount of time too. The real difference starts at age eight. The star students had practiced eight hours a week while the other students had four to six hours of practice a week. By age twelve the star students had fourteen hours of practice a week while the other kids had the same amount of hours a week. The researchers had totaled up all of the hours of practice. The star students had 10,000 plus hours. The good students had 6,000 to 8,000 hours of practice,and the average students had 4,000 hours of
