seat and heard nothing but a roar of the engine, a squawking sound, and Joe saying, “Easy on the throttle, she’s touchy.” When I got around to looking in the rear views, I saw a faint cloud of tire smoke blowing away and some dark posse mark on the ground. I soon began to let off the gas and start my transition to second befor I red lined the motor. I was totally off on the throttle then pushed the clutch to the floor, threw it in second and gave it gas again.
Tho the car didn't seem to like that idea with me driving and kicked the car around while the clutch burnt a little. My dad had then ran me through what my mistakes where. As I was starting to get the hang of this whole deal I saw a red gleaming octogone in the distance on a upward slope. My heart started to beat faster and faster as I approached it and came to a stop. I looked both ways twice and took in what Joe and my dad told me. I slowly let off the clutch, gave it the perfect amount of gas and surprising got over the slope with no burnt tires following me. This is one day where I learned a lifelong lesson and will never forget to carry it with me in a nerve racking situation like this
one.
