Literature is an amalgam of social issues which always highlight the problem of identity crisis, gender discrimination, child sexual abuse, familial struggles, alienation and so on. The prevailing crisis in contemporary period is the problems of adolescence which affect the progress of adults and humankind. It is a preventable problem in the society, yet it is inevitably increasing in the whole world. As the outcome of sexual assault, the adolescents are wrenched into psychological trauma. The experience of trauma disturbs emotionally and physically. These psychological problems get registered in the unconscious mind that obstructs the normal life of adults. Charlie and Sam, two young adults undergoing a violation give rise to the mental stress and is unable to make their decision in life. Both are high school students, Sam is senior to Charlie. Charlie is a wallflower who is not able to make friendship with others. His past experiences create anguish due to which at times he behaves like an extremist. He is unable to trace out the problem and locks himself emotionally in the shadow of darkness. As a result, he often bursts out crying behind closed doors, which makes him remain as a wallflower. The reason behind Charlie’s untold story is, the inhuman action of his aunt, Helen. During pre-teen he was victimized by Aunt Helen. But Charlie is not aware about this. He takes the responsibility for his aunt’s death as she met with an accident on her way to buy gift for Charlie’s birthday. The guilty consciousness recurrently tortures him consciously. In reality, She was an unsympathetic woman who exploited him in a very young age, but Charlie worships her and looks at her as an ideal
