The Piano Guys Music comes in many different forms and continues to grow as society expands. Over the years, music has become more simplistic in the main stream. Before understanding why artists create a certain type of music, or why they perform a certain type of music it all draws back to who they are as an individual or group. The Piano Guys is a group of ten people who have worked hard wanting to entertain people with their music abilities. The ten individuals make up a cello family containing one female and nine males. I find it very interesting that they use music that the audience can relate to. Cello Wars attracts people who are fanatics of “Star Wars,” and utilizes it as a resource to create feelings of nostalgia. Once again the group is proud of their performance and makes it known by demonstrating perfect pitch and dynamic controls. Some music is portrayed in many different ways and has different ways of interpreting the true meaning. “Me and My Cello” has a balance that makes it entertaining by using different rhythms that pull it apart from what you expect as a music video. However, they also performed music from current day artists: Coldplay, Rachel Platten, and Wonders of The World. Listening to music from the classical time period and music from current day, one seems just as creative as the other. This is Your Fight Song, Paradise African Style (featuring artist Alex Boye), Adele, and The Mission/ How Great Thou Art are all performed in a unique style. I absolutely love how they exhibited the African Style into their work, it was very creative with the cello, piano, and the djembe. This is Your Fight Song, gave me a different taste of how this song can be rendered. Paying close attention to The Mission/ How Great Thou Art is demonstrated with a relaxing melody that flows seamlessly from section to section. This song is less of a lateral movement and contains more placidity and rolling movement. Finally there is Hello/ Lacrimosa is a combination of Adele and Mozart. These two pieces run together with pure harmony. The dynamic shift is used to the upmost in its portrayal of Adele’s message to the
