The Primacy Effect In Syracuse University

The Primacy Effect is the idea that information presented to you first will have the strongest impact on you. This phenomenon was evident in my life when I was choosing a university to attend. I visited many schools, but the first school I visited was Syracuse University. I had never been on a college campus before, therefore, everything amazed me. I was impressed by the dorms, the dining halls, the architecture. Even reading through the course catalog made me excited. After that, no tour was as exciting or impactful for me. This could be because Syracuse was simply the best school, but it is highly likely that it was a result of the Primacy Effect. The school I saw first was the one that had the biggest impact.
