then just a regular lecture. He always involved the students in his discussions and walked around the classroom and incorporated us into examples or scenarios. He was very unpredictable in what he would do which made listening very easy, because he never made it boring. He would make modern examples of an event in history for us to better understand the event. Even though he made it a very fun and relaxed environment he was a tough teacher, he worked us hard to get the best out of us. His teaching made learning history a blast and at the end of the year I ended up loving the subject. I enjoyed the challenges he gave us and how he gave them stress free. He made our learning and us understanding the material his number one priority he wanted us to succeed in the class even if it took longer then expected to teach something. I had many moments in that class of being “conscious of consciousness” and I think I had those moments because of the way he taught the material. Paulo Freire, the philosopher of the concepts of education, became interested in the way education was taught when he worked at an institution in 1946 and noticed the relationship between the educators and the working class. He seen how each was treated and how there was no connection between the two groups during teaching. Freire believed that there should be a connection between the teachers and students and there should be communication and participation between the two groups. Overall I would say my teacher's teaching would be described as the problem-posing concept. He constantly made sure we were participants in learning and fully understood the material at the end of the school year. When I become a teacher, I fully believe in the problem posing concept and will make that the way I teach my students.
