It can stem from little to no social standing a person has due to race, gender, or creed. It can grow out of physical or mental limits. It can fester, when someone pushes you from power, such in the workplace, in a campaign, or on the playground. Consequently, wherever it comes from, the person who experiences the feeling typically finds a way to create a balance, to feel powerful. Power, like powerlessness, is gained in numerous ways. Through position, promotion, or social standing, it only takes one idea to abuse it to do what they need, happen.
Corruption is common, and is found in several forms. But the root of the problem comes from powerlessness, not power. Power is just an ability while powerlessness it a feeling.
