It is also true that we can change and enhance our body features through elective cosmetic surgeries. Many people choose to undergo these surgeries because they are unhappy with their appearance. I feel that these procedures are unnecessary, and that you shouldn 't undergo surgery unless you need it for your health. I believe that people go through these procedures purely because they have low self-esteem. Society tells them that there is something wrong with their body, and they feel that they need to change it to fit in. I think that this is a way to see if someone is truly happy with themselves, as we all should. No one is perfect, so no one should try to be it. It 's just a waste of time and money on their part all so they can fit in, which I think is pathetic. It is always a risk to…

Every person in the world has at least one thing that they don’t like about them. I feel that this doesn’t mean that we have to change it. The way we look is how we are supposed to. Most of the time society only sees the good stories of plastic surgery, but the bad stories are usually left out when they should be seen. When an individual is receiving plastic surgery the possible side affects typically aren’t a concern, until they are reality. Many people have to have the surgery done numerous times and some of these surgeries result in death. These deaths could have been prevented by these individuals researching the pros and cons of getting plastic surgery. I believe that the cons definitely outweigh the pros. I understand if a someone needs a surgery in order to survive and it will help to improve the quality of their life. But, if the individual only wants it to try and improve their looks and get the so-called, “perfect body” I disagree with it. Today people have a hard time looking at themselves because they are overweight and they have been taking the easy way out by getting surgery, liposuction, and even getting there stomach stapled. All this ties back to how unhealthy America is. Many people eat fast food everyday. Don’t even think about eating anything else but McDonalds, and other fast food restaurants. This is the worst thing that they could do because in the long run they are only…

"Is cosmetic surgery worth it?" Who gives a hooter. I think the real issues people have with cosmetic surgery stem from their own self consciousness and shortcomings, or out of anger-laden fear that they themselves may not be what society considers "beautiful" or “perfect”, or that other people are buying their beauty, thus gaining an unfair advantage. So out of frustration and pseudo-morality, people sometimes take stances on things that don’t pertain to them, and they don't understand. Then, they support these stances with their crackpot religions or backwater upbringing.…

Over the years, more and more people get their minor plastic surgeries done. According to the article ‘’the good, bad, ugly’’ by Alene Dawson, 13,828,726 cosmetic procedures were done in 2011. ‘’According to statistics from the America Society of Plastic Surgeons, 13,828,726 cosmetic procedures were done in the U.S. last year.’’ (Dawson) Even though many people are not happy with how they look, plastic surgery will not resolve to their happiness. Many articles on cosmetic procedures say that minor plastic surgery does not change the look all that much. One of the main reasons why people get minor plastic surgery is that they want to look younger; they want to feel their youth again. But unfortunately, the best they will ever get is looking about 5 to 6 years younger which is not much difference. There are many way to look younger such as dressing up differently. Why not buying jewelry or high quality brand of clothes? It would be much cheaper and safer considering how much money they have to spend on plastic surgeries, physical counseling, and having to have to go though the side effect from pain killers that they have to take after the procedure. So, for those who get minor plastic…

Source One: This article I found was a blog where the question was asked and people put their opinions while backing their opinions up with support. 63% of people who answered this in their post said they agree that cosmetic surgery. There were viewpoints from both sides of this topic. Reasons why some people say it should be banned were don’t buy beauty and confidence by remaking your face or body, but instead to buy some new clothes or make some good friends that accept you the way you are, without needing plastic surgery. Another reason some people think cosmetic surgery should be banned is because it is very dangerous and if you do not take care of yourself after the surgery, you can get serious infections. Some reasons why people think that cosmetic surgery shouldn’t be banned was the fact that people are always lacking self esteem and this could be an effective way to gain it. Other reasons why people think it shouldn’t be banned were things such as the fact that it would put many surgeons out of jobs and that it was better for it to be legal and done safely than for it to be illegal and be done anyway, with more risk.…
