The Pros And Cons Of President Donald Trump
President Donald Trump, since being inaugurated, has made several very controversial decisions regarding immigration. Recently, he signed an Executive Order which placed a temporary travel ban on seven middle eastern countries. Trump's temporary travel ban was issued to keep Americans safe and healthy, to try and stop terrorist attacks on this country and to save the country's important infrastructure. Many Trump supporters are pleased with the travel ban. President Trump campaigned on the promise to increase border security, and that's exactly what he is doing. According to Jay Reeves, author for the Associated Press, "Trump promised to put America first during the campaign, his supporters say, and he's doing it. That includes securing …show more content…
The seven countries included in the ban are Libya, Sudan, Somalia, Yemen, Iraq, Iran and Syria. Many believe that the travel ban is a "Muslim ban", which is false. Yes, the seven countries included in the travel ban are majority Muslim, but that does not mean every single person from that country is Muslim. The travel ban is not meant to discriminate against Muslims, it is trying to stop the radical Islamic terrorists. According to Stephen Miller, Senior White House Policy Adviser, in an interview conducted with Fox News, "We've got a serious problem in our country, growing terrorism, radicalization and serious problems of people joining ISIS, joining terror groups, joining Al-Queda and committing or attempting to commit crime and terror against our country." Protecting Americans and keeping them safe should be the Presidents main focus. President Trump is doing just that. His policies and the new travel ban were issued, because the reality is, many people in this country do not feel safe. If tightening up the borders and stricter immigration laws make the people feel safer, then President Trump is doing what he said he was going to do; protect the American

Trump took the Presidential race by a storm instantly gaining supporters from across the nation. However, his strategy was like no other presidential candidate in history. Fearless and bold, President Trump fueled the racism and sexism of America becoming the talk of every community. Yet, some despised him hypocrisy, much more rejoiced his authenticity. He was not a politician nor did he spend decades working in Washington, but he a blatantly honest billionaire who had conquered the business world. Unfortunate for Trump, since his term began in January, he has finally realized that he needs actual political knowledge to govern the nation, a thought that had never crossed his mind. Due to his lack of common sense and education, Trump has unraveled…

The president is more than unconstitutional, he is uncontrollable, too. President Obama is uncontrollable in his actions when illegal decisions are made more than once regarding Obamacare and when a large part of our government system is being questioned due to his disregard for the law. Obama went too far to get what he wanted. Checks and balances aren’t being taken seriously, if he can get away with it, so can everyone else. Obama unconstitutionally delayed the caps on payments without approval from Congress. He is uncontrollable and imperial because he shows with these examples that he thinks he can just go around Congress more than once regarding only one piece of legislation…

The people on the Liberal or Progressive side of the political spectrum are most outraged over the Muslim and refugee ban, the building of the wall between Mexico and the USA, and the Key Stone and Dakota Access Pipeline revival. The Muslim and refugee ban, as well as the Wall, are enacted on the discriminatory belief that all Muslims are terrorists and that all Mexicans are rapists or thieves. The ban of Muslims and refugees is only directed at the Middle Eastern countries that Trump has no business ties to, which is a little odd. Why not ban all Muslims? On the other hand, the wall is estimated to cost between 12 and 15 billion dollars. This wall is pointless. Why not direct this large sum of money to actually helping the American people? Trump could improve education, healthcare, and many other things. Trump has and will waste billions of dollars just to be racist and to benefit his business…

The case law to date does not clearly provide any legal limits on the President’s use of authority when placing prohibitions on the entrances of immigrants into America. The Act provides very broad authority as to how the president of the United States may do so. When read carefully, the Act clearly does not authorize the president to prevent immigration based on country of origin, nevertheless, it does authorize the president's decision of preventing the immigration of aliens based on his stance. For example, the president shall have the power to place temporary restrictions on immigration based on country of origin if he deems that the well-being of the United States could be adversely affected by any immigrant or any foreign country. However, he is not recommended, nor is he permitted, to prohibit any alien or class of aliens from immigrating to the United States based on factors that include bias’ along with sex, income, and religious…

This is clearly evident in our politicians. This influences citizens to have courage and share their opinions as well. Americans have very different stances in terms of beliefs. As a friend of mine, Cailyn Malaczewski said in our interview, “Donald Trump is a form of representation. There’s many types of people with different opinions, and he represents just that one group.” To add on to that idea, my friend’s mother, Teresa Borzecki stated that “If politicians follow the Constitution, they preserve America as it was intended by the founding fathers.” The American spirit has always been known as independent and outspoken. This was evident even before the immigrants came to the US - when they made the decision to leave religious and political persecution behind. For example, many Russians came to America in the early 1900s due to the Russian revolution that caused them political and religious persecution. In modern times, Americans still will defend themselves and others. “America's major airports became ground zero Sunday for a second consecutive day of protests against President Donald Trump's new immigration policies. The affected airports included Los Angeles, San Francisco, Washington, Dallas, New York's JFK, Raleigh, Houston, Seattle, Portland, Atlanta and more” (Grinberg and Park). This ban was against the first amendment, which is for government to not be allowed to interfere with religious practices. When Americans see something that they believe is unjust, they will fight hard for equity. Protest is what America is built…
