The Pros And Cons Of Tax Refund Loans
What Are Tax Refund Loans?
A year ago, in the same way as other individuals around me, the year was exceptionally cruel for me fiscally. I had quite recently moved on from school and was beginning my new occupation. Sadly, I didn't realize that in December, my occupation would fire me and my wellspring of wage would be gone. I needed to start discovering independent occupations or anything I could and nothing was found for two months. Once a found a vocation, it was awesome. Presently I had another issue to manage; how was I going to pay my taxes? I needed to plunge into my reserve funds and about came up short on cash. It was hard for somebody who lives alone, has no other monetary backing and is paying the bills independent from anyone else.

Money seems to be the root of the problems that surround us in our daily lives. Depending on how much we earn from employment that number is concentrated on our social class in society. However, regardless of our social class we all pay a form of federal tax. Federal tax is a tax levied by the United States Internal Revenue Service on yearly earnings of employees, corporations, trusts, and other legal entities. These taxes that are collected contribute to approximately 47 percent of the federal government’s revenue. This money subsidizes national defense and funds federal programs such as welfare and infrastructure. A percentage of our income is taxed according to the amount we earn; it varies from ten percent when making zero to 20,000 dollars to 30 percent when making 50,000 dollars and above. The controversy of eradicating federal income tax involves all American residents…

The Recession of 2008 left multiple wounds in my family, especially after my father was fired from his job which he held for five years for being an immigrant. The “Great Recession” was not only a hideous word but a malicious truth in my household; it left us in a ditch hole. Getting deeper each day, the hole was in the way of my family’s future. There were nights when we were lucky to have enough beans and tortillas to fill our bellies; other nights, my stomach would gnaw with pain and hunger as I had given it to my younger siblings. My father was out on the streets, willing to take any work that was given to him, and my mother would pawn the values we held in much happier times. Its impact was that one of a tiny bullet skewering the heart…

It is not uncommon for the evening news to talk about the local, state, or national budget. Controlling finances is an important issue for governments at many levels. Families also must control their finances. Some families create budgets that they stick to carefully, recording all outgoing and incoming money so that they never spend more than they bring in. Other families keep at least a mental count of where their finances stand. But what about young people—people your age?…

These basic necessities absorbed at least three-quarters of the household budget, making it difficult to buy other necessities for the family. The most logical way for my family to adapt to Depression conditions was for all members of the household to work together to adapt to a lower standard of living. The ability to do this rested on several factors such as annual income, and the family's material needs. Women were counted on to be a positive energy in the community and the supportive center of a family through all the tough times, while saving at the market, raising a family, and keeping up a happy, normal appearance. The role of the women in the household became challenging as they juggled to make ends meet. I was encouraged to find ways to take care of the family without spending too much money. Nevertheless, holding on to the strict budgets, by discussing with my partner we bought an extensive amount of clothing, which was then passed down to the younger children, unisex clothing etc. We put off purchasing a new car and kept driving the old car longer and longer. My partner and I ensured that we make as much savings a possible in case of emergency, medical needs etc., to certify that all members in the family are safe and…

People were not able to afford the food we sold. We had to lower our prices just so that we could get something for the work we were doing. The lower the prices went the more I worried about my family’s welfare. Eventually, we had to move out of our home that we have had when we first got married. I was heart broken, devastated, and full of despair. I had a plan to avoid this situation but I did not have a plan to back up that plan. I had money saved in a bank for a rainy day, but the bank our rainy day money was in had gotten taken when our family bank went…

When you hear debt your mind automatically think it’s a bad thing, Which is not always correct. Now everyone know America is in debt but do you really know who much our country is in debt. “On January 29, 2016, the U.S. debt surpassed $19 trillion. That meant the debt-to-GDP ratio is 106%, since 2015 GDP is $17.9 trillion. However, the public debt was a more moderate $13.7 trillion. That made the public debt-to-GDP ratio a safe 76%. According to the World Bank, the tipping point is 77%.” (useconomy). Debt is not a completely bad thing but it does have its downfalls. No one wants to be in debt to someone. A little debt is okay but 19 trillion dollars is a little much.…

I was merely a child, too young to grasp the gravity of the situation, when my family went through its deepest crisis. It forced me to grow up faster than most—a lot of the time, I had to do things for myself. My mother and father divorced when I was three, and my life has not been the same since. My mind filled with confusion and infinite questions, since I was too young to understand the situation at the time. Coming from a broken home, I wondered why I was not able to enjoy certain luxuries that other families could, although I was privileged enough to go to a private school through scholarships. My father did not pay child support. My mom had to work three jobs just to afford the price of living for us. Moreover, even though we barely had enough to provide for ourselves, we always did what we could, above and beyond, for others. Recently, much like most families in this nation, mine was affected drastically by the crisis we are in now. Although my family was not one to live in wealth before, we had to reconstruct the way we lived our lives. Even though my mother and I did not have much, there were many opportunities given to us. We were offered the chance to excel and flourish in order to live a prosperous life, and having come from what little we came from, this was golden. However, after our country went into recession, we again had to adjust. Our income was limited and almost entirely committed to bills, but having experienced a humble life before had prepared us well.…
