didn’t need to be involved in. “The invasion consisted of 21 days of major combat operations.” About 130,000 troops were sent from the U.S. alone. That is also a ton of soldiers. CBS stated that, “In a January 2003 CBS poll, 64% of Americans had approved of military action against Iraq; however, 63% wanted Bush to find a diplomatic solution rather than go to war, and 62% believed the threat of terrorism directed against the U.S. would increase due to war.” The 62% were correct this war did put a big target on our backs. Another poll from CBS asked what should the U.S. do now with Iraq and the pole stated that 31% wanted to use military force and 63% wanted to find a diplomatic solution. This is a bold statement although look at the history behind it. ISIS didn’t exist until the end of the 2nd Iraq war. The group started to form in North Iraq. The government was so discombobulated that they just fed ISIS weapons because they didn’t want to fight them/couldn’t fight them because they knew that they couldn’t win. If the United States weren't involved, ISIS most likely wouldn't have sparked and rose to power. The U.S. put a big target on their back. Almost every War that's “important” the U.S. gets involved in it and the U.S. only make more enemies and keep getting a bigger target put on their back. Talking about big targets, Al Qaeda and Osama Bin Laden were behind the tragedy of 9/11. The U.S bombed Iraq in the first war. The U.S. didn't follow the guidelines of Islam and this fundamental moral disagreement combined with the radical and violent nature of Al Qaeda, a bloody action like 9/11 was inevitable. ISIS formed because it hated what was happening to their country and the U.S. was apart of it. If we're not careful we are going to have another 9/11 attack. The United States needs to stop making other countries upset with us, it only attracts terrorists to this
