The Real Housewives Series Analysis
There's nothing more addictive than watching overly dramatic older women constantly fight. I would like to think that these women argue so much because the cameras are rolling, but I don't think that's the case. The executives at Bravo have brilliantly cast women who love to argue, are stubborn and are usually the "top dog" in their circle of friendships. If you place these types of women together, drama will always ensue, and that's the beauty of the Real Housewives franchise. There are currently five series in the franchise, including the Real Housewives of Atlanta, Orange County, New York, Beverly Hills, and New Jersey. Here they are, ranked in order of addictiveness.

Number One: The Real Housewives of Atlanta.
Atlanta cast: NeNe Leakes,

The most notable cast member is NeNe Leakes, and she has managed to build a pretty respectable acting career outside of the reality television circuit. Leakes, just like the rest of the cast, has no problem saying how she feels, and she never shies away from confronting whoever she has an issue with. These women are head-strong, humorous, and you never know what you're going to see each week. The cast members are also very fashionable - especially Leakes and her outlandish wigs.

Number Two: The Real Housewives of New York.
New York cast: Bethenny Frankel, LuAnn de Lesseps, Carole Radziwill, Sonja Morgan, Ramona Singer, Dorinda Medley, Kristen Taekman, and Heather Thomson
The return of Bethenny Frankel has made the New York series very entertaining this season. Frankel wasted no time letting it be known that she is the "alpha female," and the other women better take heed. If you think any of these women bowed down to Frankel, you better think twice. This season has become so addictive because the constant bickering between Frankel and Heather Thomson is really entertaining. Once you add Singer and Morgan's bizarre antics to the equation, watching the New York show is equivalent to driving past a car accident- you just can't help but watch

I soon realized that this episode answered several of my questions. The show was interesting to see the different techniques and backgrounds; their cooking strategies and techniques were different and entertaining to watch, I even learned a couple things such as what were considered good meats to buy. The competitors were competing for $40,000 altogether in four different categories. It was cool to see world champions compete against each other to maybe even leave with nothing as some did. And to my surprise my stereotype of these competitors was only half right, there all from the south or western part of the states but there were also competitors that weren’t men over 40 with a southern accent. Harry Soo and Lee Ann Whippen were two that strayed from my interpretation of the competitor and were also entertaining to watch.…

For me, the show still feels a bit like a platform for ABC to showcase their stars. This episode featured Josh Groban, Jay Leno, Laurence Fishburne, and Lea Thompson, which is a lot of stars for thirty minutes. However, there is promising upward trend from the pilot to this episode. Here is hoping that it will continue to improve and…

The Bad Girls Club makes women look very negative. In the show the girls would fight for no reason, their mouths are so dirty, they don’t keep track on what they say. The drama those women be having are so not cute, they just put women down like were nothing. For example: if two of the girls don’t like one another on the show, they will try so hard to get rid of each other in the mansion. They will try to fight each other, throw all their stuff out in the pool. They will throw each other suitcase out on the street; put water in people bed so that they don’t sleep on the bed.…

Because House of Cards displays politics in a corrupt and manipulative manner, it exceedingly meets entertainment expectations. Although there is little to no violence throughout House of Cards, it does contain an excessive use of vulgarity. Nevertheless, the use of vulgarity does not detract from the entertainment value, but rather furthers it by making the show seem more realistic. Although the House of Cards characters are in a different demographic than its audience, it ranks a five out of five on entertainment value. House of Cards receives the highest level of entertainment because there is not a dull moment in the TV show; there is always some dialogue or actions that keep the audience at the edge of their…

The first fact that I found interesting in this film was that if you don’t have a son and you have a daughter in china, people will look down on you because sons are the ones who carry on the family name. The word that I think goes well with this is the word patriarchy. Patriarchy is men-as-a-group dominating women-as-a-group; authority is vested in males. This goes well because if the female doesn’t not have a boy the men will shame them. There are 13 million more young boys in china right now than girls. If women do not have a boy the husbands tell them that they will send them away. It is very hard for women to talk about having a son because of all of the pressure they are under. Another reason people prefer boys is because boys…

When Elisabeth presses her to find out why she seems to have such strong feelings about anything related to this show, her mother explains that it is a painful reminder of her past. Instead of looking back and feeling nostalgic about the type of dress or hairstyles worn in her day, she felt as if she were watching the most painful part of her life flash before her eyes. She describes to her daughter an era of rampant chauvinism and sexism, one in which her main goal in life was serving her husband and making him happy. This was a revelation to Elisabeth because she always observed her parents as equals and was just beginning to understand that it wasn’t always so. Her mother’s life didn’t begin the day her daughter was born, and there was a painful journey to get to the well rounded woman that she was today. Elisabeth convinces her mother to watch the show with her so that she can get to know her better and understand the obstacles that she faced growing up.…
