The reason I will be selected as an Exchange student
I am a junior majoring in Social Work and Psychology. Since I entered the university, I have wished to communicate with students from other countries thorough the exchange program. I would like to inspire my inquiring mind for study. Meanwhile, I heard about new information that Eötvös Loránd University (ELU) in Hungary offers newly many English classes for the students majoring in Social Welfare and Psychology. Unlike other universities, there are diverse major subjects. Plus, Already many Hungarians are interested in Korean cultures, even learned Korean in a university and organized the Korean culture association. It is really good news for me. Those are what pushed me to apply for the exchange program this semester. Social Work, as a practical social science, started in Europe first, which have been mostly developed as a form of theories or policies. Europe is the perfect place to study the field of Social work. In case of Hungary, there were many challenges or successes to settle down the policy of social welfare after the social system totally changed. So, I thought that these points from Hungary will be helpful to supplement our policy. Especially, I would like to explore new medical welfare system, which the Hungarian Government began to serve from January of 2013, comparing with Korean ones already learned last semester thorough Social Work in Health Care. The ELU gives the students many chances to deal with contemporary social problems in Hungary and have been actively discussed about it. I am look forward to attend the classes. Although I have not been majoring in Psychology for one year over, I realized that personnel management is one of the attractive professions after taking ‘Interview Skill’ and ‘Industrial & Organizational Psychology’ classes last semester. According to the result of vocational aptitude test, the job related to it corresponds with my aptitude. So, I considered it as one of my careers and decided to experience more about

That is why I am studying in the University of Lincoln. I am interested in the latest approaches and practices adopted worldwide and would like to learn new techniques and methods as well as learn to work with different target groups. As I mentioned above I have taken undergraduate and graduate programs in sociology and social work in Armenia and I have worked in this area for almost ten years. However, I feel this program will give me a much broader view of social work and its best international practice, it will allow me upgrading my knowledge and skills, will give me an opportunity to study in an academic system different from that of my country's, as well as I will have an opportunity to meet with different experts and practitioners from different countries. Most importantly, I hope to gain insights that will make my work in Armenia's rural areas more effective and useful to user groups, especially children and their families. In addition, as someone involved in social policy setting in Armenia, I hope to come out of this program with more ways of improving the social legislation and practice in my country. Overall, I believe this program will give me a great opportunity to become an international social worker, as well as to advance my theoretic knowledge and practical skills and to put it to better…

Up until the summer in between freshman and sophomore year I had not fully established the ideology by which I wanted to live. I had passions in life such as classical music, triathlons, at the time engineering, and service, but I had not found the way or in a sense style of life I wanted to abide by while also doing the things I truly loved and enjoyed. My most memorable experience of this prior to my life changing trip happened to occur in Barcelona. I was touring the city with my friend and fortunately on the tour was a stop at La Sagrada Familia, the beyond incredible Basilica that dominates the skyline. I walked up to the Basilica casually…
