The Roaring 20s In The 1930's
the roaring 20s. What was the roaring 20s? A period of that socially and politically change that happened in the united states and in western Europe between 1920 and 1929 and during this time a lot more Americans moved from farms to cities. The roaring twenties also brought a huge impact on the western culture which included jazz music. So through this essay, I will use evidence in from three different sources of to back up the statement "the roaring twenties: a time to forget the war and live life to the full" and finally I will close the essay by stating whether the evidence supported the statement or not.

Particularly in Europe and North America”. Which show how firstly Britain played a huge role in the end of the war and then North America brought a huge cultural and social change in western Europe.
Secondly, pages 19-20 of the Cambridge yr. 10. It says how women after world war one were allowed to do many more thing that they couldn't do before the war such as smoking, driving and playing sport and this was a huge achievement for women because they suppressed for many years from doing hardly which can also be shown by the way it says that the women could not play sports which shows how men thought they were the superior gender but then when the men went to fight in the war it was up to the women to do the jobs back in their countries.
The other point that this text also makes its that the car industry Holden in Adelaide during 1919 manufactured car bodies which eventually expanded its production during the 1920s. Until the company was bought by the Us firm general motors. Which with time lead to be quite a large industry as people began to think that cars were more glamour’s and how since the end of the war cars also became cheaper and it also helped that women were allowed to drive creating an even larger
