Athena was the goddess of war; however, she was also considered as the goddess of wisdom, craft and intelligence. She focused more on skillfully fighting war than killing mass number of people (“Athena, Greek God,” 2014). Athena planned out her actions and solved issues efficiently. For example, after the Trojan War Odysseus faced challenges on his way to Ithaca; however, she guided him and comforted his family. Specifically, she requested Zeus to defend Odysseus from the gods, who were causing minor problems during his journey. This revealed her wisdom and compassion for others (“Athena Greek God,” 2014). Lastly, Athena had the desire to help people and never intended to harm anyone.
