The Role Of Zeus In The Odysseusy

Athena begged Zeus to have pity on Odysseus and help him. Odysseus, a just and fair ruler, was a captive of Calypso. Zeus agreed and sent his son Hermes to Calypso with clear instructions to release Odysseus unharmed. Zeus instructed Athena to help Telemachus arrive back home unharmed. Zeus announced that Odysseus would experience difficulty when sailing and would arrive alone at the Scheria Islands, land of Phaecians, who would help him come back home.
Immediately, Hermes went to Calypso Island to deliver the message using his magic sandals. There, he met with the goddess, Calypso, who recognized that Hermes was a god and; therefore, she welcomed him with hospitality. After Hermes had delivered the message, Calypso was angry and said that
