Although Joss Whedon demonstrates that Self-fulfillment is something that cannot be achieved without either sacrificing love or compromising their ambitions in Dr.Horrible's sing along blog, however it could be suggested that the only way to achieve self-fulfillment is to both sacrifice love and compromise our ambitions.
There is more than one side to every person, Whedon shows us this in his short film. Meaning not all sides have the same ideals of self-fulfillment, or even have different ideals on the importance of love. Good vs. Evil, Hero vs. Villain, Man vs. man, or man vs. Self, in the end a person needs to choose a side or at least abide by one of the rules of both. Just because a choice must be made to sacrifice one side of a person’s perspectives and beliefs, doesn’t mean it’s an easy decision or one that has to be made right away.As in the movie the protagonist isn’t exactly evil, or even willing to kill his nemesis “This appeared as a moral dilemma”.
