The short story “The Simplica Girls” by George Saunders, is a first-person diary, written from the perspective of a man. He starts the story off by telling us where he got his diary, as well as why he decided to start writing down his thoughts and memories for those in the future to read. This story shows that people can be oblivious to the true horrors of the things that they are doing, until someone points it out. Some may say this is just a simple story, but I argue this to be wrong. I see a strong meaning behind it.
