The Song Of The Shirt Analysis

Nowadays we get surprised of until what point society may arrive at, I get concerned about the social problems and discrimination, and that’s why choosing a text to develop in this project wasn’t an easy decision. However, after analyzing for several hours I made the decision and I chose the poem “The Song of the Shirt”, because I really enjoyed how throughout the last years, women have improved their role in our society, enforcing their rights.

Through this project I’m interpreting a poem that makes reference to the song the women sang while sewing for many hours non-stops. In addition, they were willing to give everything, despite the poor conditions in which they worked.

My art is evidently related to the poem “The
